I am a writer, wife, mother, and grandmother who thinks you're never too old until you're dead. My inspiration is Grandma Moses who became a successful artist in her late 70's. If I don't do something pretty soon, though, I'll have to find someone older for inspiration.
Love taking pics but my cell phone does a lousy job…Lived on the Oregon coast (Gold Beach) for years and enjoyed the ocean sounds…now in Newport but inland 7 miles….but the coast is very windy and cold…most of the time so don’t get to enjoy it as much. Need to be there just at the right time..for it changes quickly. Enjoy your pics immensely! I have a friend I follow who does a daily sunset photo and sunrise off the coast in Port Orford, OR. Randy Scholten TheDailySunset.com: Amazing pics…hope you will like his site. I’ll be keeping an eye on you.
We are so lucky, Emilieann, to live near the ocean. I grew up within walking distance of the beach, and now, after thirty years away from it, we’re back. Loving it!
Sitting here in the Coastal foothills sunrises and sunsets are blocked…so I really appreciate pics when I can get them…I have many favorites..Returning to Oregon from Iowa, I caught a fabulous Neb. sunset…I hope to frame it someday.
I’m walking on it a little. Still have the boot on, so it is slow going and I can’t walk very far, but at least I’m not hopping everywhere. Thanks for asking, Eye!
Awesome. I love it! Love your interpretations. When I saw the first one I thought this is my favorite, then I saw the awesome photography skills you had with the second and thought, no no it’s this one. Then you hit me in the heart with the third one…Sports.Awwwwww. Sports. We got all kinds of movement up in here. You never cease to amaze me with your photo skills.
Thanks, Curly. I love the one at Fenway Park, too. I was so excited when my sons took me. And thanks for the lovely compliment about my photography skills.
Great shots, Susan. Lots of movement in all of them. The first one looks like fun, although I don’t think I’ll ever work up the nerve to give something like that a try. 🙂
Yes, it does, Life. I can’t believe how easily the wind picks the surfers up and snatches them into the air. Some of them, as you know, get quite high in the sky.
I just love that photo of the birds — beautiful! (And I miss the ocean, strange I know coming from someone in Maine… but we just don’t have crashing waves on the bay!)
Great movement shots, Susan!
Thanks, Patti. Hope you are enjoying your summer.
Would you check your gmail?
Just did. Thanks, friend.
Exciting images that celebrates a fun and adventurous life. The water simply calls the viewer to be engaged in a thrilling moment.
Thanks, Traveler. It was pretty amazing to watch that wind surfer.

Thanks, Emilieann. I will have to check out his site. My header sunrise picture was taken right here in Virginia Beach.
Wow that is a wonderful site…Where are my sunglasses??

You should use it in a post sometime, Emilieann.
These are good! These are good! They are very very good Susan. I love the birds best! 🙂
I love those birds, too, Dor. Thanks.
Hope that foot’s feeling better! 🙂

It looked dangerous, Robin. That wind really picks them up.
Great shots! Some years ago, we watched Red Sox play at the Fenway Park a couple of times. My husband is a diehard Red Sox fan.
Thanks, Amy. Being from New England, and with my sons and daughter-in-law in Boston, we’re all Red Socks fans, too.
What a wonderful challenge for you right now… movement!! Great pictures!
You’re right, Carol. Any kind of movement is a chore for me right now. These pictures are about all I can manage.
You … wait for it… knocked this out of the park! 🙂 Great shots!
Thanks, LD!
Love all your photos, but those first two are my favorites: beach, water, and BLUE! Oh – and movement, too!
Thanks, Dianna. Living near the beach, these kinds of shots are fairly easy.
Great photos as always! I love watching the windsurfers…from my beach chair of course. It takes incredible strength.

That is strange, Julia. You have water all around you. How far are you from crashing waves?
Nice!
Thanks, HG!
I love the photo of the birds. Beautiful!
That and the baseball picture are my favorites, too, Shary.
