Waiting for lobsters in Rockport, Massachusetts

Waiting for the sunrise

About Coming East

I am a writer, wife, mother, and grandmother who thinks you're never too old until you're dead. My inspiration is Grandma Moses who became a successful artist in her late 70's. If I don't do something pretty soon, though, I'll have to find someone older for inspiration.

I love the sunrise and the swan boats!
By the way, there are two emails from me waiting for you to read them… 🙂

Great pictures. They remind me that sometimes it is nice to wait for the next good thing to come along, it plays on the idea of expectation! This is an expecially nice reminder given the hecticness of the season.

  3. I especially like the lobster traps piled on the dock. My neighbor is a lobsterman and just brought his traps home to store for the winter. It has been damp the past few days and they are especially “fragrant” with sea smells… I could literally smell your picture! A total sensory experience.

  4. You know what they say, “good things come to those who wait.” And it looks like you waited for just the perfect pictures! So nice!

Love the sunrise most of all. Great colors. But it’s nice to see some of New England, a place I’ve never been.

LOVE your photos! I miss living near the water. I lived in Maine for 6 years and there’s nothing prettier than a dock with a bunch of old lobster boats. I always tell my husband that he can drool over the fancy boats, but all I want is a lobster boat. 😉

Lovely photos as usual Susan. But when I saw the title I thought of this great waiter I met last night. It was a new restaurant we tried and this waiter (Sam) helped to make it such a pleasant night. So my take on waiting..

How striking! That 3rd photo of the beach is especially beautiful.

Waiting {especially for God’s perfect timing} can truly test our character, well, at least for me.:) I find the last photo hauntingly beautiful. 🙂

You Beautifully described the word waiting through these photographs.
