About Coming East

I am a writer, wife, mother, and grandmother who thinks you're never too old until you're dead. My inspiration is Grandma Moses who became a successful artist in her late 70's. If I don't do something pretty soon, though, I'll have to find someone older for inspiration.

Fabulous sunset! Looks like a lovely place to get away from it all.

Gorgeous pictures – looks like an amazing trip!

  5. Absolutely beautiful photos! May favorite is Blue Water at Race Point and of course, Lady GaGa in Providencetown. I would consider that as a Christmas card this year…it’s just so fun.

  6. Lenore Diane says:

I’m echoing the comments… these pictures are gorgeous!

  7. Love the pictures. My favorites are the street scene in P-town and Sunset on water at Corn Hill. The bicycles also tell a story without ever seeing anyone on the beach. Thanks for sharing these!

  8. Oh those golden pictures are well….GOLDEN.

Wonderful. It really does look like Lake Michigan.

We were talking about maybe going to Saugatuck one summer, HG. I don’t think all of us could be together, though, because the Boston kids wouldn’t be able to manage it.

Breathtaking sunset on water! All great shots.
I remember the Provincetown, lots of shops…

    • Coming East says:

Provincetown is fun to walk around in, Amy, and we found a great Mexican restaurant there, believe it or not.

      • Amy says:

Great Mexican restaurant in Provincetown, nooo… I’m trying to get you to come to San Antonio for great Mexican food and the Riverwalk…

      • Coming East says:

Don’t worry, Amy, there will never be better, or even as good as, Mexican food than in San Antonio and Austin, but I’m telling you, this was some of the best Mexican food we’ve tasted OUTSIDE of Texas. I still miss La Fonda on Main and La Paloma Blanca and La Fogata. I’m drooling just thinking about them.

  12. Dianna says:

Aw…your beautiful pictures brought back memories of our trip a couple years ago! Yes, we did Provincetown too…!

  13. Absolutely gorgeous photos! Lovely!

  14. Al says:

Great pics! That one sunset looks like a flowing river of gold. Thanks for taking us there.
I’ve never been to the cape and I lived in New England on 4 different occasions – once in Conn, twice in R.I. and once in Boston! Pretty sorry, huh?

  15. Shary Hover says:

Gorgeous photos. I love the one of the person in the wild outfit with the pink bicycle. What a catch!

  16. beautiful! makes me want to take a vacation up there, to enjoy the beaches and New England. Thanks for posting these.

Even though we live three miles from the Atlantic Ocean, DAF, Cape Cod is very different, and the Lower Cape, where Truro is, is very different from the Upper Cape, where Hyannis is. I like the seclusion and quiet of Truro.
