Just heard the weather report for the next few days. The heat index today is 110 degrees. Tomorrow it will be 117 degrees. Can you feel the heat sizzling off the sand in this picture?

My dad is so handsome. It’s nice to know that I’ll still “have it” when I get older. LOL!
Like father, like daughter.
lol! Wonderful way to represent hot, in both photos. 😀
Thanks, Robin. The funniest part is that when my husband came home from work yesterday, I told him he should look at my blog because it was a photo challenge on the word hot. He said, “Oh, did you put a picture of yourself in there, because I think you’re pretty hot!” Isn’t that a hoot? He had a good laugh when he saw his picture.
I love the photos and especially the caption on the last one! 🙂 cute. I agree with the countryman’s wife – you both make a good-looking couple! You guys make marriage look good. 🙂
Thanks, Yen. Marriage can be wonderful if it’s a match made in heaven!
The south suburbs of Chicago hit 104 BEFORE the heat index yesterday. I am so thankful our air conditioning got fixed last week.
Heat like that just zaps all the energy out of you, doesn’t it! Today is going to be the worst day of the week here, tomorrow won’t be much better, but I hear by Tuesday we should be back to the upper 80’s. My husband said to me this morning, “Well, at least this beats living in San Antonio (where we moved from a few years ago).” When I read the weather page, I told him we’re hotter than San Antonio, plus we have all this lovely humidity, like you do in Chicago.

It is so hot here (hotter than even Florida at the moment I hear…) that I am actually considering going back to the beach tomorrow morning for some relief in the ice cold ocean! Great pictures, by the way.
I’m considering doing the same thing in the morning, as long as I get to the beach by 8 A.M. I think our water here in Virginia might be a tad warmer than yours though.
Oh for the opportunity to complain about the HEAT! It’s mid winter here and I am planning a few days in the mountain with some friends. Would rather be going to the beach as I am not a cold weather flower.
I agree, your husband does look hot. Does he have a brother, Susan?
LOL! Yes, his brother is a handsome devil, too, but his wife of 43 years plans on keeping him. And it’s even too hot to go to the beach! Still, I’d rather be trapped inside because of heat than trapped because of snow and ice.
Hot here too plus oppressive humidity and I don’t have an ocean to jump into! There’s a breeze (if you can call it that) which feels like that hot blast of air when you open up the oven to check on a cake. So…..all of this is to say I feel like that ugly, old witch in the Wizard of Oz — “I’m melting!” Can I just proclaim I’m ready for Fall?
I think it’s hot everywhere from the middle of the country to the East Coast. Even my children in Michigan and Boston are suffering. I’d go to the ocean, but it’s just too darn hot to get in the car. Plus, I think the sand would melt my flip-flops before I could even reach the water.
UGH not a fan of the heat — still, nice beach pic! (and nice poetic license, too! 🙂
Thanks, Julia. I’m sitting in the kitchen right now with the blinds drawn to help keep the heat down. The air conditioner can’t even cool our house to what I set the temperature for. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. UGH is right!
Love it! You make a good-looking couple 🙂
LOL! Thanks a bunch.
