Great photos–I love the close-up looks at things we use daily so they often become lost to us. You helped us re-look! And Louisa’s grave is a treat–worth a trip one day. Just the other day I heard of a book called Little Women Letters. It is a current title written in a letter format, supposedly by and about the ancestors of the three sisters–and they share traits of their ancestors. It was a review I read somewhere. This group of commentors seem to be LMA fans–have any of you heard of and/or read this yet?
I have not, but I am going to look that up. I would love to read something like that!

Stunning photos! Wow! I did a double-take on Louisa May Alcott’s grave. What a sight.
She’s buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts, along with many other famous writers. Little Women was one of my favorite books when I was about 12 or 13. It was quite a feeling seeing her gravestone.
Wonderful entries. I love the stones on Lousia’s grave – I’m surprised there aren’t more, but maybe the caretaker removes them periodically.
I’ll bet he does or you wouldn’t be able to read her name anymore. I love visiting that old cemetery in Concord. So many famous writers are buried there like Thoreau, Emerson, and Hawthorne, and, of course, our Louisa.

I need to blow it up and get it framed and put it in my “sea room.” One of my guest rooms is called my “sea room” and has pictures of lighthouses and beaches. I’ve always wanted to live in a lighthouse. Thanks, Julia.
